In hungarian language - as of course in others as well - the feelings has different stages, but even if the infinitive of the verb you find in one stage, in sentence you use the one stage over it.

In hungarian language  we use the verb 'kedvelni' just for people, for activities or foods etc we use the verb 'szeretni' even if it works different in english. If the english sentence use the verb 'to love' for activities or foods etc... (other then feelings) in those cases we use the verb 'imádni'.

 so: kedvelni (to like somebody)< szeretni (to love somebody or like something)< imádni (to love something)
